The original details for Charlotte Kerr were transcribed by the Female convicts project, later Founders and Survivors. As Charlotte was my gr gr grandmother, I have tracked her movements from Tasmania to Port Fairy and later to Auckland where she lived until her death. She married her long term partner, Adam Moore on 9th Sept 1864 at St Matthew's Anglican church in Auckland. She gave her marital status as "spinster" and her occupation as "laundreyess". At he time of her death in 1882, there were 3 known sons. In 1865, Charlotte applied for a tender for laundry for the Auckland hospital and Auckland Asylum and was awarded both tenders under regulation. She was paid for this work.
