Built 1836 in Calcutta. Wood barque of 421 Tons. Master Edward Smith. Sailed from England 1848 with 190 men from Pentonville prison under the care of surgeon Dr Robert Stevenson, . Twenty seven prisoners deemed to fall into "second class" were disembarked in Hobart and granted tickets of leave on landing and the remainder were disembarked at Geelong with conditional pardons. Sailed from Woolwich on 6 October 1851 under surgeon W. McCrae with 196 female convicts, landing on 26 January 1852.

Eliza LAIR was convicted at CCC, London on 7 July 1851 for stealing from a dwelling house. Previous offences. 7yr transportation sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Anna Maria' arriving 26 Jan 1852. Married, 1 child; needlewoman; aged 28yrs; 5'; Protestant; can read & write. Native Place: Boston, Lincolnshire, England. Husband: Charles, a native of France. Son: Charles Mother: Lydia Brother: John Sisters: Lydia; Letitia; Jane & Maria Numerous assignments of work service in Colony. Notes of misconduct and punishments. Sentence extended. Ticket of Leave 25 Aug 1857 Certificate of Freedom 12 July 1858 11 Sept 1878: Fingal, Tas - Larceny. 2 months. 25 Nov 1878: Fingal, Tas - Vagrancy. 1 month. 18 Mar 1879: Launceston, Tas - Larceny. 6 months. 21 Oct 1879: Launceston, Tas - Larceny. 12mths. Application for permission to marry: to William Weaver. 13 Nov 1855. No record found of actual marriage. Died at New Town, Tasmania (Charitable Institution) 14 Oct 1892. Born England. Aged 70yrs; Housewife. Cause - senile debility.
