Baron Smith's Address to the Prisoners in passing sentence: … John Mooney, Thomas Dunne, Thomas Lalor, and William Butler, you have been found guilty of assaulting the dwelling of John Lowry, and attempting compel his apprentice to quit his employment —I feel obliged to sentence you all to transportation for seven years, and to warn you to prepare for the probably speedy execution of the sentence. … Limerick Chronicle, 4 April 1832.
