Patrick married Ann Cooper, the eldest daughter of Robert Cooper, soldier of the 1/73rd. He and his family had come on 'Ann' in 1810 when Ann was only 10 years old. Patrick and Ann married on 7th May 1821 at Parramatta. The couple had three children, William 1822, Benjamin 1823 and James 1826. They both died quite young in 1847.
