The convict indentures state that Christopher Langan alias James Hackett was 22 years old. He could read and write; religion Roman Catholic; status single and a native of County Kilkenny. His occupation was a flour miller. Christopher alias James was convicted of sacrilege at Dublin City on 2 January 1836 and sentenced to life. He had one prior conviction and served 6 months. Physical attributes: Height 5 feet 6 1/2 inches; complexion ruddy and freckled; hair brown and eyes grey. Transport number 45. Prisoner number 36-1850.
Received ticket of leave in 1845 (number 45/1477).
