At naval Court Martial in Portsmouth, this week. Thomas Lapham, private of the Royal Marines, was sentenced to be hanged at the yard-arm, for striking a Serjeant of that corps. Kerry Evening Post, 4 Jan 1832. Naval Intelligence. His Majesty has been pleased to commute the sentence of death lately passed upon Thomas Lapham, private marine of his Majesty's ship /Etna, for mutiny, into that of transportation for life, and he will accordingly sent to New South Wales by the first ship proceeding thither. Cork Constitution, 21 Jan 1832.
