Family connections for John (Lee) are: LEE John (Lee) was born about 1763. He was tried at Lancaster Quarter Sessions Lancashire on 22 1 1789, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 21 9 1791 after a voyage of 7months on HMS GORGON. He had a relationship, perhaps his first, with Sarah/Alice (Nicholson her second relationship) from 1798. He was Free by Servitude by 1799. He is recorded in 1802 & 1806 with Ticket of Leave self employed.>>> [Some details taken from this Website] Alice (Nicholson-sometimes Sarah) was born about 1770. She apparantly married firstly ??? She was tried for stealing a cloak at Lancaster Quarter Sessions Lancashire in October 1797, sentenced to 7years, held at Lancaster Castle & arrived in NSW as a convict on 18 7 1798 after a voyage of 6months on BRITANNIA. She is recorded in 1802 with Ticket of Leave employed by N (Lord). She was given her Freedom in 1804. She is recorded in 1806 as Alice (Nickerson). She was issued her Cerificate of Freedom in 1811 & is recorded with her partner. She is recorded in 1814 as off stores with her family. In 1816 her house caught fire and her Certificate of Freedom was destroyed. She died on 4 7 1827 age57 at Lower Minto mother of 5known children & was buried, as (Lee), at St Lukes CofE Liverpool. She married, as Sarah (Lee-Nickerson), John (Neale his second marriage) farmer of Airds on 1 1 1816 at St Phillips CofE Sydney & produced at least 8children. ..John (Neale) was born on 19 10 1797 & baptised on 24 12 1797 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. He possibly had a first relationship with Anne (Powell). He was a farmer at Airds in 1816. He was recorded in 1827 as an overseer & in 1831 as a farmer. She was a widow but had been in a de facto relationship with John for a long term.

John was in a de facto relationship with Alice Nicholson (Convict, Britannia, 1798) from about her arrival in 1798. They had 4 children; Sarah 1799, Elizabeth 1802, James 1804 and Mary 1808. Both John and Alice died prior to the 1828 census.
