James Leyne, sheep-stealing —Seven years transported; Edmund Murrane, sheep-stealing —To transported for seven years. Kerry Evening Post, 3 Aug 1831. The following nine convicts were transmitted this morning, by mail coach, from our County Gaol to the convict hulk at Cove of Cork, in charge of Mr. Murphy, the governor, and an escort, Owen Sullivan, Maurice Stack, and James M'Carthy, for Larceny. Francis M, stealing. John Griffin—Cow stealing. James Lyne, Michael Lynch. Timothy Murrane, also James Morrissey—for sheep stealing. There were also four females, who were presented at the last assizes as disorderly vagrants, under rule of transportation, but who four days since gave bail for future good conduct.
