Robert Long was listed as being 23 years old on arrival in VDL (born 1809) also found birth date of 1804. He was transported for ‘stealing flour from his master’.
Robert was 5’4” tall, reddish brown hair, light grey eyes, C.E. Bridge 30 Sepr. 1832 2 sprigs ins left arm.
Married - wife Caroline Emma at Edmonton.
1833-35 Musters: Assigned to Mr. John McLeod.
12/2/1838: Married Ann Gilby (Edward 1834) - Listed as a Miller for the rest of his life.
9/5/1841: Mary Anne
3/10/1843: Wife Ann Gilby died at Campbell Town, aged 25.
7/12/1853: Free Certificate - Campbell Town.
30/10/1858: Married Ellen Harding/Malvalich at Campbell Town.
1861: Dawson Charles - died 1862
23/12/1861: Dawson Cowgill
27/3/1868: Robert Long died at Campbell Town of a liver complaint.
