John married Mary Considine (Convict, Rolla, 1803). John Masterson of the parish of St John Parramatta and Mary Considance were married in the church by banns this sixth day of April in the year one thousand eight hundred and seven by me Henry Fulton. John and Mary both signed the register with their X marks in the presence of Thomas Cosier who signed the register and Jane Walker who made her X mark.
There is some discrepancy regarding the date of death for John. He is entered here as 1832, however, my records show May 28 1827. This is not substantiated with evidence. But it would appear that his family has disintegrated by 1828, and no sign of him! Sainty & Johnson; 1828 Census of New South Wales: [Page 264, Ref M2026] Masterson, Mary, 48, free by servitude, Rolla, 1801, 7 years, Catholic, lodger with Jane McGuire, Castlereagh Street Sydney.
