Family connections for Catherine (Maxwell) are: MAXWELL Catherine (Maxwell) was born about 1814, perhaps in Glasgow Lanarkshire Scotland & became a nurse girl/house servant. She was tried for vagrancy at Down co. Ireland in 1832, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 6 8 1833 after a voyage of 4months on CAROLINE; she was Protestant. She worked for James (Ironside) in Sydney, from whom she absconded on 20 8 1837; she was 5'0.25" fair ruddy and little freckled complexion dark brown hair grey eyes-nose little cocked-scar back of lower right arm. She was issued her Certificate of Freedom no 42/0335 on 5 3 1842. She married John (Tucker) on 13 12 1847 at St Mary Magdalene church Southy Creek (South? Creek). [These details taken from this Website] John (Tucker) Catherine Jane (Maxwell) & John (Tucker) produced at least 1child: 1.Maria (Tucker) was born in 1840 at South Creek. She married James (Pusell/Pusill/Purscell/Puzle) on 26 12 1854 at Presbyterian Bathurst & produced 12children. She died on 13 3 1886 age about46 at Burraga where she was buried. ..James (Pusell/Pusill/Purscell/Puzle) was born about 1822 at Liverpool Lancashire. He became an errand boy & was tried at age16 for stealing at Lancaster Quarter Sessions, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 25 10 1837 after a voyage of 3.5months on JAMES PATTI/ERSON. He was issued his Ticket of Leave in 1841 at Bathurst & his Certificate of Freedom in 1854. In 1856 he was a shepherd; in 1861 he was a labourer at Dunns Creek; in 1872 he was listed as a farmer at Cherry Tree Hill Rockley.
