Tasmania Police Gazette, 17th Nov 1871, p185. Prisoner discharged from HM Gaol & Houses of Correction, week ending 29 May & 25 May 1872. George McAuley, per Lady Kennaway 2, F.S., tried at Hobart, on 10 Nov 1871 for larceny, served 6 months, also at the House of Corrections, Hobart, 6 Jan 1872, for disobedience, 14 days served, native of Glasgow, 53yrs, 5 feet high, dark brown hair, mole near left temple.
