Irish Convict Database by Peter Mayberry. Rose McBay, age on arrival, 30, per Surrey II (1833). Tried 1830, at Londonderry Derry Co, 7 years, for Vagrancy. DOB, 1803, Native place, Londonderry Derry Co. Single, Catholic. Kitchen maid house maid. Wednesday, April 7. Thirteen females, and one male, were presented by the Grand Jury as vagrants : the females were all found Guilty, and sentenced to seven years transportation, if unable give bail in six months, themselves in £l0, and two securities in £5 each. Londonderry Sentinel, 10 April 1830.
