James married Roseanna Mooney in Feb 1849. Roseanna was the daughter of a Free settler, Bernard Mooney. James died at Singleton on 23 Dec 1879.

James was 18 years old when tried. He is listed as being a Whiteboy Rebel. Most of the records I found are under "McCannon" (National Archives). 19/9/1846: TOL Paterson
