Family connections for George (Mcginnis) are: Some amendments added Aug 2025. McGINNIS George (McGinnis/McGuiness) was born in 1780or97. He was convicted at Meath Ireland, sentenced to Life & arrived in NSW as a convict on 27 5 1797 after a voyage of 5months on BRITANNIA. He had his Ticket of Leave by 1806 & married Ann (Cusley age15) on 11 5 1807 at St Johns CofE Parramatta; then lived on a lease of 21acres at Wilberforce?. He was recorded in 1824 at Wilberforce. He was a farmer when he died on 28 9 1829 age49/53 at Wilberforce & was buried at St Matthews CofE Windsor. [Some details taken from this Website] Ann (Cusley) was born on 29 9 1792 & baptised on 8 12 1792 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. She died on 11 10 1822 age30. George McGinnis of the parish of St John, Parramatta and Ann Cursley (Cusley) were married in this church by banns, 11 May 1807 by me Henry Fulton. Both signed the register with x's. They had a large family of 8 over the next 14 years. ALL daughters!

George had a Ticket of leave by 1806 and was renting 21 acres of land from Bushell of Wilberforce. This was a well set up little farm to which he brought his new bride in 1807.
