DANIEL MACKENZIE, aged 31, was indicted for bigamy. A former conviction for felony, was stated in the indictment. ‘The case for the prosecution was very clearly proved. ‘The first marriage took place at Gateshead, and the second at ? and the prisoner continued to live with his former wife. up to the time of the last marriage, when he brought his new wife home, and turned the old one out of doors.  In the course of the trial, he observed that his first wife told him she had been called to church to another man, and he might please himself as soon as he liked, When called upon for his defence, he said his former partner led him a very disagreeable life, as she was always getting drunk, and frequently had connection with other men, The Jury found him Guilty, and he was to be transported for life. The appearance of the prisoner was remarkably repulsive, and he seemed to belong to the very lowest class of society. He had been 5 or 6 times convicted of assaults, felonies, &c.
