His cousin Denis McNamara was on the same ship, they were both assigned to John McArthur of Camden as a laborers. In 1832 he became a Police constable - 28 Jun 1832 • Campbelltown, New South Wales, Australia HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve of the appointment of James McNamara, free by servitude, to be constable at Campbell Town.
