Nell Murphy on 19th August, 2018 wrote:
Rose McQUADE was convicted at Fermanagh, Ireland on 15 July 1842 for stealing a cow. 10 yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen’s Land (Tasmania) per the ship ‘East London’ arriving 1843.
Married woman, widowed; country servant; aged 35 yrs; 4’10” height; Roman Catholic; can read.
One child accompanied her on the voyage, Thomas aged 9 yrs.
