Hardisty, John Spencer, John Midgley, James Gavins, Joseph Tillotson, John Kenworthy, Isaac Plats, Thomas Hague, Titus Kent, Wm. Parkes, James Curtis, William Wilkinson, John Brown, Charles Penny, and Charles Fowler. Leeds Mercury Yorkshire, England 29 Jul 1820 LEEDS, SATURDAY, JULY 29 Since our last the following prisoners have been committed to Wakefield- House of Correction Wm. Hardisty, of Leeds, cloth-adresser, John Spence, of Leeds, cloth-drawer, James Gavins, of Leeds, labourer, John Midgley, of Halifax, cloth-dresser, and Thomas Raistrick, of Yeadon, Cloth-maker, charged with breaking into the warehouse of Messrs. Buckton and Son, in Meadow-Lane on the night of the 18th instant, and stealing therefrom nine ends of woollen cloth, a quantity of shawls, a number of stuff pieces, and a woollen table cloth, the whole of which were found in Raistrick's house at Yeadon. William Hardisty, James Gavins were also onboard the Speke -- no ships found for John Spence of Thomas Raistrick. Birth dates listed 1789, 1785, 1784. Occupation: Cloth-dresser. John Midgley was listed as 31 years old on arrival. 1/8/1827: COF - Listed as a farmer, born 1785, 5'7" tall, ruddy and slightly freckled complexion, brown to grey hair, hazel eyes, scar at the outer corner of right eye - 42 years old. 1/11/1830: Convict Death Register - John Midgley died at Bathurst, aged 30 - (entry in the deaths book on Ancestry states he was 36).
