HO 9/4_4 Page 44/51 Received 2 April 1828 (Durham) Thos Miller, age 28, Breaking & entering a warehouse?, Tried Durham Ass, 26 Feb 1828, Life, Transp 19 May 1828. ----------------------------- THE ROBBERY AT CHESTER BREWERY. THOMAS MILLER, aged 28, and GEORGE AINSLEY, aged 29, were indicted for breaking into the spirit cellar at Chester Brewery, and stealing therefrom a quantity of rum, the property of Messrs Fenwick and Co., the owners of the brewery. FRANCIS WILLIAMSON, who was committed with the on the same charge, was admitted King’s evidence. … . Durham Chronicle, 8 March 1828.
