Peter Mooney was convicted at Liverpool for stealing a handkerchief from a person. Previous convictions & imprisoned 4 times previously. 10yr transportation sentence. Gaol Report: artful & obstinate. Parents are decent. Hulk Report: Good. Transported to Van Diemen’s Land (Tasmania) per the ‘Henrietta’ arriving 19 Nov 1843.
Single man; aged 16yrs; labourer; 5’2 1/4”; stout; has a bad eye; ring on finger. Protestant.
Native place - Liverpool, England.
Assignments in Colony.
Several notes of misconduct.
1845: sentence extended by 6 months.
9 March 1852: Ticket of Leave granted.
