John was literate, Protestant, single, 5'5¾" tall, fresh ruddy pockpitted complexion, dark brown hair, brown eyes, JB: anchor and blue spots on right arm. Assigned to William McArthur, camden. 1/1/1833: Convict Death Register - John Moreton died by drowning at Port Macquarie. Mr B Sullivans Justice of the Peace. Aged 26. 24/1/1833 Sydney Gazette: Listed in the Absconders section - from Port Macquarie.
