John Moxham was 37 years old on arrival.  His native place was Hosburn, Wiltshire – He was married, wife Sarah and 6 children at Wiltshire.  Sarah died in 1870.

John was 5’6” tall, grey eyes, brown hair.

1830: Assigned to Mr. A Dawson
1832: Assigned to Mr. Adam Amos
1834: TOL

NB: Founders and Survivors website have John as dying 21/3/1838 at Lake River, however there were other Moxham’s and Maxham’s etc., around at the same time – so this seems to be an error.

10/7/1843: Married Margaret Stevens (Jane 1833) they had 5 children listed, all girls, but could have had up to 7.

John was working as a carrier and he was also a farmer in the 1840’s.

April 1852: COF

27/4/1852: Steerage Passenger – Launceston to Melbourne – first of several trips he made to Melbourne.

13/9/1870 The Mercury, Hobart:
