The 'Margaret' was the last convict ship to transport female prisoners to New South Wales. Another voyage to Van Diemen's Land in 1843. The Convict Indentures state that Alicia Murray was 18 years old. She could read; religion Roman Catholic; status single and a native of City Dublin. She was an house maid. Alicia was convicted on 29 December 1837 at Dublin City of malicious assault and sentenced to 7 years. She had no prior convictions. Physical attributes: Height 5 feet 1 3/4 inches; complexion fair ruddy; hair brown and eyes brown. Transport number 149. Prisoner number 147-39.
