The Convict Indentures state that Ellen Murray was 29 years old.  She could neither read nor write; religion Roman Catholic; status married with 3 sons and a native of Cork City.  She was a country servant.  Ellen was convicted on17 November 1837 at Cork City of receiving stolen goods and sentenced to 7 years.  She had no prior convictions.  Physical attributes: Height 5 feet 2 inches; complexion ruddy much freckled and a little pock pitted; hair dark brown and eyes dark chestnut.  Transport number 32.  Prisoner number 32-39.
