To be kept in gaol as a witness. Sent to Maitland to give evidence at Quarter Sessions 21 January. 126015 Murray James - 1836 29 June Paterson GG. Apprehended after absconding from William Dunn. 172713 Murray James - 26 May 1842 Newcastle gaol State Archives NSW; Gaol Entrance Book, Item: 2/2020; Roll: 757 Admitted to Newcastle gaol from Singleton. Charged with entering a dwelling house at night and stealing therefrom and having stolen property in his possession. Sent for trial. 111485 Murray James - 1845 29 November Newcastle gaol NGE. Labourer from Dublin. Admitted to Newcastle gaol from Maitland to await trial. Sentenced to 6 mths in irons. Sent to No. 3 Stockade at Newcastle.
