John Nabbs was 19 years old when indicted for stealing 100 cigars, value 14s the goods of Charles Butler.

John was 21 on arrival in VDL.  He was born in Wolverhampton, his father was Richard, brother richard and sister Jane.  John could read and write, was single, protestant, 5’4 1/2" tall.

31/8/1850: COF

23/9/1850: Married Mary Ann Budd, they had 6 children.

John left Tasmania per Henry Edward on 23/12/1851 from Hobart to Geelong.  His ocupation was listed as a Labourer.

11/1/1873: Died of consumption. He was living at Dunn Street, Hobart.  He was 49 years old.

3/4/1903: Death Notice: Mary Ann, widow of the late John Nabbs, at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr T Lee, Rose and Crown Hotel, Elizabeth St.  Aged 71.  Buried at Cornelian Bay Cemetery.
