William Nash from Hertfordshire, England, was sentenced in London on 6th December 1827 to transportation for life. He left London on 4th March 1828 on the Phoenix ship and arrived in Sydney, New South Wales in 1828. William Nash was given a conditional pardon on 20th November 1837, and an absolute pardon on 1 October 1840.
WILLIAM NASH was indicted for stealing, on the 9th of November 1827, 12 sovereigns; five half sovereigns; 1 warrant, for payment of and value 6l. 3s. 8d., and four 5l.
