Libraries Tasmania sent to Port Arthur penal Station. (Most probably Point Puer Boy's prison) behaviour in gaol On the voyage his behaviour was described as good. Between 1838 and 1842 he received solitary confinement punishment for very minor offences such as throwing another prisoner in the water and throwing rocks, talking whilst in solitary confinement, insolence. As he got older he received 36 lashes on the breech for being disorderly after being sentenced and did spend some time on the mill. In 1844 he did receive his freedom certificate. The appropriation list states on arrival he was 16 4' 4" tall his trade was a 'Boy'. From Hootton UK
