The Proceedings of the Old Bailey ELIZABETH LAW. CHARLOTTE NICHOLLS. Theft; pocket picking. 10th January 1828. 269. ELIZABETH LAW and CHARLOTTE NICHOLLS were indicted for stealing, on the 16th of December , 1 half-crown, 6 shillings, and 1 sixpence, the monies of John Panton , from his person . LAW - GUILTY . Transported for "Larceny from the person Husband; Robert Nichols - "Ï have not heard of him for 4 years - he left to come to this country with a person named Green as Servant " Trade; Lady's Maid. Height; 5 ft 3 1/4 in. Age; 27 years 1830 - 4 Aug. Assigned; Mrs. Bromley. propagating a false and scandalous report injurious to a respectable female - 6 months, C Class. House of Correction. 1831 - 28 April. Assigned. Dr. Ross. Insolence & unwillingness to do her duty. Cell on bread and water - 10 days & returned to her service. 1832 - 6 Jan. Gambling riotously 1833 - 22 July. Fraudulently charging a Bonnet - Dismissed 1833 - 4 November. Repeatedly absenting herself from her masters service with out leave. 3 months. 2nd Class Factory 1834 - 15 Feb. Insolent to her mistress and attempting to leave her masters house. Sentence; Wash tub 14 days to sleep in a cell. 1834 - 8 March. Absent with out leave. Sentence; Wash tub - 3 months & to sleep in a cell and assigned to the interior. 1836 - 14 March. Drunkenness'. 2 days solitary confinement on bread & water. 1836 - Died of Apoplexy at Norfolk Plains 24 June 1836. Memorandum of the Prin. Supt. 1 July 1836. 1835 - Tasmania Convict Musters.
