Silas was held on the prison Hulk at Portsmouth prior to transportation




in January 1820 Silas was imprisoned for larceny




Silas Noyes was 35 years old and was transported for feloniously receiving five brass coach-boxes, ten brass rings and seven pieces of brass, the property of William Golding of Newbury, knowing the same to have been stolen. He was married to Letitia Partridge and had 5 children. Silas was 5’7” tall, ruddy freckled complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes, scar on left side of nose ad a small scar at the outer corner of left eye, can read and write. Assigned to Thomas Bloomfield. 1834: Applied for wife and family to come to NSW. 1836: TOL 1839: COF 22/2/1848: Silas died at Petersham, NSW. 24/2/1848 Sydney Morning Herald: Died – on the 22nd inst., at Petersham, Silas Noyes for many years a resident of East Maitland.
