In May 1850 at the High Court of Justiciary, Mary Dunsmure, Mary Ann Simpson, Mary O'Harra and Margaret Brannigan were convicted - overnight 10/11 January 1850 attacked and assaulted an (unnamed) individual in a house in Leith Wynd and rob him of a gold watch, silver chain and handkerchief. Each accused received transportation for 10 years - see Scotsman newspaper 18 Mary 1850 p 3 on 'High Court of Justiciary'. Note: There is no trace on Convict Records of Margaret Brannigan having been transported.
