George Oils was 20 years old on arrival in VDL and was transported for 'stealing 1 truss, 1 yard of brown linen, 10 yards of calico and 70 yards of velveteen from a warehouse, the goods belonging to James Hibberson. George was listed as being born in Nottingham, he was 5'5 1/2" tall, dark red hair, dark grey eyes, single. Mother: Mary (Plumb), I am in her Maiden name. 1830-33 Musters: Assigned to Mr. Clebourne. 1833: TOL 28/5/1833: Listed as Oiles - married Elizabeth Mills at Longford - no children listed. 1835 Muster: Free Certificate March 1835. 1837-43: Licensed Hawker, Longford. 29/4/1844: Declared Insolvent. 8/1/1851: General Dealer, Flinders Lane, Melbourne. No date of death found.
