I believe that this should be James not William who was transported to Australia.  Convicted Lent Assizes Surrey for Sheep Stealing.  The following is the record from the NSW State Records website:
  OUTTRIM James   Hercules 1832 45/999   Ticket of Leave [4/4200; Reel 956] District: Bathurst; Born: Surrey; Trade: Ploughs reaps; Tried: Surry ass
