Joseph was my 2nd Great Uncle his parents were Barnard Page and Ann Collins my 2nd Great-grandparents.




Joseph Page was 19 years old on arrival in VDL and was transported for “Housebreaking and stealing money”. Joseph was 5’4 ½” tall, single, protestant, illiterate, fresh complexion, brown hair, dark brown eyes, tattoos. Father: Barnet Mother: Nancy Brothers: Henry, Samuel Sisters: Rosana, Elizabeth, Emma, Charlotte Hannah. 15 months probation at Maria Island. 22/5/1849: TOL 10/1/1852: Free Certificate 24/2/1852: Departed Launceston to Melbourne per ‘Favourite’.




Joseph PAGE married Adeline Jane ANTHONY in 1855 in Melbourne. They had two children Henry Anthony PAGE born 1853 and Adeline Jane PAGE in 1857. Joseph PAGE died in Penola, South Australia of Urantic Poisoning. HIs occupation was noted as a stone cracker on the roads.
