The Royal Admiral was built at Lynn in 1828. Convicts were transported to New South Wales on the Royal Admiral in 1830, 1833, 1835 and to Van Diemen's Land in 1842. 1833 - Ship; Royal Admiral. Commenced fitting as a Convict Transport at Deptford on the 29 March. Surgeon Superintendent [Andrew Henderson] joined on the 3rd April. Guard embarked on the 13th. Sailed on the 17th and anchored in Kingston Barbour near Dublin on the 9th May. 220 convicts embarked on the 16 May 1833 and the ship sailed from Dublin Bay for Sydney on the 4th June and arrived there on the 20 October. Originally embarked with 221 convicts, 5 Died at sea, 1 was Relanded. 11 sick on shore, The convicts were described as 220 such wretchedly debilitated creatures ... Surrey Sessions, June 12. Shadrack Pegdon, John Osborne, and James Dixon, were indicted for stealing, and James Neale, for receiving, three quarters of oats, the property of Mr. Blackstone, corn-factor, Dockhead. The three first-named  prisoners were  employed to convey 34 quarters of oats in a waggon, to  Mr. Grey’s livery stables, Earl-street, Blackfriars ; they took a circuitous route to Churchstreet, Blackfriars, where they stopped at Neale's house, who is a corn- chandler, and dropped six of the sacks, containing three quarters of oats of the 34; the three quarters were afterwards found in an upper room of Neale’s house, in bulk, and taken possession of. All the prisoners were found Guilty, and Pegdon, as the carman to whom the goods were entrusted principally, sentenced, together with Neale, to 14 years' transportation, and Osborne and Dixon, to seven years each. Australasian Chronicle. Tue 23 Aug 1842. Page 2. TUESDAY, AUGUST 16. Wednesday, the 17th instant, an inquest was held on view of the body of Shadrach Pegden, who was killed on the 16th instant, near the Lamb and Lark, Windsor road, by accidentally falling from a waggon. It appeared that the horses ran away, and the deceased in trying to stop them was killed;

Pegdon Shadrack, Royal Admiral. 1840 - Ticket of Leave. No; 40/2017 - 18 September. Allowed to remain in the District of Windsor. Noted across the Ticket. Cancelled the holder having been accidently killed on the Parramatta Road on the 16 Aug 1842
