Gloucester Sessions commenced on Tuesday, and a very full bench of Magistrates attended on the occasion. … Joseph Cripps, esq; M.P. taking the chair in the Crown Court, where there were 79 prisoners for trial. At the breaking up of the Court the following were the sentences:— Transportation.— Seven Years. Stephen Phillips, for stealing a quantity of wheat from the barn of J. Rudge, of Pauntley; Bath Chronicle, 22 Jul 1830.
