Tasmanian Convict Records. – Indent. https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON13-1-1$init=CON13-1-1P154 William Powell, tried Worcester, July 1816, 7 years. age 22, native place, Shropshire, trade, Nailor. 5 ft 6 ½ in. dark eyes, brown hair, dark sallow comp. Well behaved. Later addition to record: 1823/109 – probably the no of his Cert. of Freedom. Convict Conduct Record. Has not been completed - Blank.




The trial of the prisoners concluded this day (Wednesday). The following are the sentences : : Condemned. … Wm. Powell, for breaking open the cottage of George Had, of Upton Warren, and stealing various articles of wearing apparel. … The whole of the above have since been reprieved.
