EXTRACT FROM NEWCASTLE COURANT mAR 13 1835
ADAM WALTON, aged 16, and JOHN PRESTON, aged 19,
two reputed thieves, also pleaded guilty to a
charge of breaking into the stable of George
Hailes, and stealing fourteen sacks; were
sentenced to seven years transportation.
WM. ROGERS, another of the gang was acquitted,
no evidence offered against him.
