Tasmanian Conduct Record, https://libraries.tas.gov.au/Digital/CON33-1-79/CON33-1-79/CON33-1-79P126 No 18396. John Raisin, tried Leicester Assizes, 22 March 1845. Transported for stabbing with intent. Prison Report, First conviction. Single. Stated this offence, Stabbing Ellen Getham in the shoulder, we were to have been married. Age 24, carpenter, native place, Leicester. 2 year labour gang at Norfolk Island. Subject to epileptic fits. T.L. 20 July 1852. - Revoked 29/3/1853- Absent from muster.
