Daniel Regan was indicted for stealing at Newmarket, on the 10th Sept. last, some money and bank notes, to the amount of ? the property of Denis Sullivan. The property was stolen from the prosecutor at the fair of Newmarket, when a boy who saw him, gave information to another, who took the money from him. - Guilty. Cork Constitution, 3 April 1828.

The Indentures state that Daniel Regan was 15 years old. He could read; religion Catholic; status single and a native of County Cork. He was an errand boy. He was convicted of stealing money from letter on 31 March 1828 in Cork and sentenced to 7 years. He had no prior convictions. Physical attributes - Height 5 feet 3 inches; complexion ruddy and freckled; hair dark brown and eyes blue. Transport number 121. Assigned to Mr Edward Cunningham, Hunter's River. Received Certificate of Freedom issued in 1841 (number 41/238).
