Charles worked as a shepherd along with his father-in-law Thomas Dawson for William Dangar at Kangaroo Hills. 1845: TOL 5/10/1849: COF Ruth was 14 years old when she arrived, born 16/10/1833-15/1/1896. 13/5/1897: Charles died and is buried at Armidale NSW.




Charles Roan married Ruth Dawson on 22 March 1851 in Kangaroo Hills, New South Wales. They had 13 children.
