Monday last Wm. Scotcher was committed to our Gaol, by J. T. Hervey Elwes, Esq. and the Rev. R. C. Barnard, charged on oath with having stolen two pigs, the property of John Kemp Jardine, Esq. of Wixoe, in the night between Thursday and Friday last. Bury and Norwich Post, 29 Apr 1807. At Bury, July 20, Wm. Scotcher, convicted of stealing two pigs, the property of John K. Jardine, Esq. of Wixoe, was sentenced to 7 years' transportation. Bury and Norwich Post, 22 July 1807. -------------------------------------------------- James Notley, who was capitally convicted of sheep-stealing at our last assizes, has been ordered to be transported for life; and yesterday sennight he was, together with Robert Hynard, James Rampling, John Turner, John Fenner, Robert Matthews, John and James Osborn, and W. Scotcher, removed from our gaol, and put on board the hulks at Portsmouth. Bury and Norwich Post, 30 Sep 1807. -------------------------------------------------- Hulk Reports HO-9-8_3 at Portsmouth.
