On arrival was sent to Oyster Cove Probation Station for 12 months. Permission to marry Jan 1847 - Mary Brady (Phoebe). Married 1 Feb 1847 in Hobart. TOL 11 Jul 1848 15 Jul 1849 he was charged with illegally executing a writ for debt and assault of Mr & Mrs Glover, representing himself as a free man therefore executing the writ under false pretences, refusing to read it or allow it to be read, extreme insolence and other misconduct - to provoke a breach of peace. The bench were of the opinion that the first 3 charges were not within their jurisdiction, the last was dismissed. CP 5 Sep 1850 Free Certificate 17 Jan 1858 Petty Constable in Sorrell Apr 1853, then acting Sergeant in Campbell Town Feb 1858. He & wife Mary had 11 children born between 1847 & 1869. Their surname was changed from Shenan to Sheenan in 1880. They moved to Victoria in 1881with his family. He died in July 1909 (aged 97)
