Thomas Shinfield convicted of having stolen from the person of Stephen Hammond, of Hingham, carrier, a canvass purse, containing a five shilling piece, and 14s. in silver the property of the said Stephen Hammond; and sentenced to years transportation.—He is 19 years of age. Norfolk Chronicle, 15 April 1820.




Saturday last Thos. Shinfield was committed to the city gaol (by N. Bolingbroke, Esq. Mayor) charged with stealing from the pocket of Stephen Hammond a canvas purse, containing 19s. 6d. in silver. Norfolk Chronicle, 5 Feb 1820.

Folios 16-17 and 29-31: Thomas Shenfield, aged 19, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, pain of the head and inclination to vomit and faintness, skin and pulse natural, tongue clean; put on sick list 5 May 1821, discharged 17 June 1821.
