Tried; King Williams Town [Cape of Good Hope] Court Martial. 9 February 1847. 14 years Offence; Disgraceful & Insubordinate & outrageous conduct [Breaking his Rifle & insubordinate, out on the Borders after the Caffers and had no rations for 14 days 1st Rifle Brigade 10 years & 3 months Status; Single Height; 5 ft 8 1/2 in DIED; G.H. Hobart. August 1878
