N.B. There are two George Smith’s on this voyage of the ‘Waterloo’.
George Pink Smith was convicted at Middlesex, London on 16/10/1834 for robbery. 7yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen’s Land (Tasmania) arriving 02/03/1835.
Single man; tailor; aged 19yrs.
Assignments in Colony and several records of misconduct. 1844 convicted of Larceny and to be sent to Port Arthur Penal settlement for 2yrs.
