3/4/1842: Refusing to work - 14 days cells. 6/9/1843 Drunk 5/3/1844: Dishonest and disorderly conduct - 2 clander months treadmill. 28/4/1846: Pilfering - 2 calander months treadmill. 24/9/1847: Stealing money - 3 years in irons (Maitland Circuit Court). About this time Joseph was sent to Norfolk Island. 4/5/1848: VDL records has him arriving per Governor Phillip. 25/3/1850: Forwarded to Sydney from Norfolk Island. 1851: TOL Bathurst.




Joseph Stockwell was about 15 years old when indicted for picking pockets. He was 5'4" tall, fair ruddy complexion, light brown hair, grey eyes, slight scar on left cheek, another left side of mouth, tattoos and his native place was Bristol. 2/6/1841: Neglect of work - 25 lashes.
