CAPITAL CONVICTION Michael Storin and Michael Dovitt were then arraigned on capital indictment, for feloniously and unlawfully with force and arras, Portcrusha, on the 2d of May last, threatened one Martin Kelly, to wit, with the words, break your head . and split your skull,”in order to induce said Kelly to enter into unlawful combination with them. The second count charged the prisoners with using the words to compel Kelly to combine with them to injure the lands of Ross. They were also indicted for a riot and unlawful assembly. To these indictments the prisoners pleaded not guilty ; ... Drogheda Journal, 4 June 1831. On Monday. Julius Delmege, Esq., Under-Sheriff for the county of Limerick, received a respite for Michael Storin and Michael Devitt, convicted at the late Special Commission held In Limerick. Dublin Evening Packet, 18 June 1831.
