Married Penelope Wray in 1841 and had a daughter Emily Maria (1844-1908). Emily had a son Percy Hatfield who was my maternal grandfather.

8/8/1838 Waterford Mail Waterford, Republic of Ireland: CITY ADJOURNED SESSIONS John Canty, John Styles, and John Keele were indicted for stealing a quantity of lead from the house of Thos. Power. John Canty was also on board the Waverley. No ship found for John Keele. John Styles was 20 years old on arrival, his native place was Waterford County. Occupation: Carpenters apprentice. 1843: TOL Camden 8/11/1845: COF
